We recognize outstanding graduating high school students of western Ouachita parish each year with scholarships towards college expenses.

We also recognize any student in western Ouachita parish that exceeds in community involvement and serving others with a Community Service Award certificate at the end of each school year.   

​

Many of our events are fund raisers to pay for these above mentioned activities and awards along with the work needed at the Wellness Park. 

 

We hold an annual Spring Fling to showcase local vendors along with food trucks and fun activities for all, an ICS sanctioned Not Ya Mama's Louisiana State Championship Chili Cook-Off, Tour of Calhoun that showcases local businesses, Senior Bingo, free haircuts by stylist and barbers of Louisiana Delta Community College, Bring Your Own Canvas, Book Lover's Club, and an annual Calhoun Christmas Parade.  We are always looking to add to our events so watch our website to see what else may be coming in the future!

The Calhoun Civic Club clubhouse is located at 189 Calhoun Loop Road, Calhoun, LA.  Our monthly meetings are usually held on the second Monday of each month and are open to the public.  Check our Events Page for the up to date schedule.  We are always looking for new members and if you are interested in joining the Calhoun Civic Club please contact one of the board members listed below at the meeting or you can email us at calhouncivic@gmail.com.  Please allow 48 hours for a response to any email.
